Plot Summary: In the future, after aliens have destroyed and enslaved
Earth, a 19 year-old named Cale must overcome the occupation to find a map
left by his father that contains the secret to saving mankind. Cale is joined
on his quest by Joe Korso and a cadre of aliens intent on finding the treasure
that resides at the end of their search for Planet Ice.
The Buzz: Despite a source that told the Insider that "a substantial
amount of work" had taken place to prep the upcoming Fox animated flick Planet
Ice as a traditional cel-animated movie, Variety revealed that the movie
may instead be produced using less-costly CGI animation. The toon, which
features the voices of Matt Damon, Drew Barrymore and Nathan Lane, reports
that despite the costs associated with creating believable CGI human characters
a Fox insider says that Ice was "always seen as a digital script."

5/27/99: Now known as Titan A.E. The trailer is running before the
new Star Wars flick. Being done by Fox Animation in Phoenix, AZ and will
be a mix of traditional and CG animation. I think all the characters are
hand drawn, and the ships and environments are CG.
