Chapter 8:
The Price of Stardom

There are many things that come with success that we cannot understand if we haven't been there. Only a handful of people reach the height and level of success that Matt has reached.  When you get there, there are the advantages such as respect, recognition, and admiration.  Then there are the disadvantages.

The least fun part about being successful is the loss of privacy.  When your job is making films for the public, therefore you're in the public eye, sometimes people feel as if you should always be in the spotlight. People lose sight of the fact that it's only a job and that after that job, they are still just like the rest of us: humans.

Though Matt has lost a great deal of privacy over the last few months; having his every move followed by dozens of cameras while he's trying to eat dinner, go out on the town, or just out with a friend,  he's handled it well.  Matt's also bears the opportunity cost of not being able to see his family and friends as often as he'd like, but he takes it all in stride. Those that have met him have said nothing but good things.  That's what makes him all the more genuine.  That's what makes him all the more admirable.
