Dear Matt.....
It's unlikely that you'll ever read this letter, but if you do, I'm going to give it my all. I'd just like to tell you what a wonderful actor I think you are. I want to be an actress when I get older, so I am okay at evaluating other actors' performances. Your performance in School Ties was just fantastic. I could relate to it because I am Jewish, and even though it's not the fifties like in the movie, there are still some cruel people out there who are just like your character in that movie. I also loved Good Will Hunting. It is easy to see how your character strayed away from love because of all of the people who betrayed him in his past. I sometimes feel that way. You know, like "What is the point giving this one a try? It will turn out just like the last one, and look how hurt that left me." You have played some very influential characters in your career, and your performances have all been varied in character and each equally wonderful. It is nice to know that there are some young actors today who I consider to be potential to be on the level of who I consider to be the best actors, Jack Nicholson and Dustin Hoffman.
Sincerely,
Age 14, Cleveland, Ohio
